Today is My Last Day at TIBCO!
As my dad used to say, leaving a company is like graduating, not an end.
Today is my last day at TIBCO! I feel blue and orangey-yellow at the same time. The blue comes from leaving a product team that innovated at a billion-dollar scale. Amazing new data, AI, and analytics products, patents, a book... the list of breakthroughs is long.
If analyst MQ & Wave leadership positions are the Oscars of technology, we’re gonna need a bigger shelf:

3-time leaders in business intelligence critical capabilities

I’m also blue about leaving our customers behind that inspired us, like:
National University Health System in Singapore, who we helped make healthcare predictive and proactive with AI
Autostrade per l'Italia - Persone, who used our tools to transform the roads, bridges, and tunnels of Italy with real-time data
Pharma companies from PerkinElmer, Inc. to Pfizer, who we helped discover and make vaccines, and FedEx deliver them.
Panera Bread, who used our tools to flip their business upside down in 14 days during CoVID.
Royal Mail in the UK. We help them, as they say, “Deliver Christmas.”
But it's also a celebration day! The orangey-yellow of a new sunrise. To continue applying psychology and neuroscience to artificial intelligence. To build products that make data for all, not just a few. To work with great people. To work for the "Why?"
For now I’ll continue as a mentor and board advisor for Data Science for All by Correlation One and Data Visualization Society. Their missions matter to me: I think data literacy, community, and new ways of thinking about AI can rebuild the vanishing middle class and level the playing field for future generations.
